There will be an OFRN Round 4 funding information session in Columbus, OH on June 27, 2019.

The Ohio Federal Research Network Round 4 Funding Information Session will give an overview of the Ohio Federal Research Network (OFRN), OFRN’s Sustaining Ohio’s Aeronautical Readiness and Innovation in the Next Generation (SOARING) initiative, and the soon to be released OFRN Round 4 RFP.

Who Should Attend? Anyone interested in learning about the OFRN and the Round 4 RFP should attend this informational briefing.

The Wright Dialogue with Industry @ Dayton Convention Center

The WDI event offers three (3) days of in-depth and comprehensive presentations, panels, and one-on-one sessions related to the Air Force and technology focus areas and aerospace research and development. Portfolios for each of AFRL’s Technical Directorates and supporting organizations will be presented by the Tech Directors and SMEs.

The Air Force Research Laboratory’s Advanced Science & Technology Symposium has been rescheduled for July 24, 1-5 p.m., at the Top of the Market Banquet Center in Dayton.

This event was originally scheduled to happen May 29, but was postponed after several tornadoes struck the local area on Memorial Day.

AFRL has established a Junior Force Council (JFC) whose charter, in part, is to provide professional development opportunities for those Active Duty and Civilian Air Force personnel who have less than 10 years of experience.  This symposium allows participants to engage with  some of today’s brightest scientists & engineers who are discovering the technologies that will drive the next wave of business growth. Uncover new opportunities to collaborate & accelerate the development of state-of-the-art technologies.

The symposium is free, and open to academia and industry. Featured technology fields include Sensing, Materials and Manufacturing, Aerospace Systems, Medical, and Health and Human Performance.

The event begins with keynote speaker Dr. Teresa Bennett, Chief Learning Officer of AFRL, followed by speakers from other government agencies and researchers. The event wraps up with a one-hour poster session where AFRL junior force will showcase their work and have meet and greets with other attendees who are interested in being mentors.
